Happy Halloween!

A Very Special Party Giveaway

There are online classes for everything these days, and my friend Shimelle has been teaching online scrapbooking classes for years - but she's decided it's time to kick it up a bit and go from online class to a four-week online party, and you're invited. Pretty Paper Party is the party to attend if you have a collection of paper stacked up for a rainy day, if you have more scraps of paper than you know what to do with (but you know you don't want to throw them away!) and if you've ever put a piece of paper back in your stash because it was just too special for the photos at hand. Through printable prompts and tutorial videos, Shimelle and dozens of special party guests will share beautiful and innovative techniques you can achieve with the paper you have already collected.

One of those "Special Party Guests" is me! I was so excited when Shimelle asked me to be one of her guests because her classes and challenges are always so much fun!If I was really cool I would totally have a fabulous sneak peek of my project for you but I've been on the go go go since I got off the plane from my scrapbook adventure last weekend so I just have this little teeny tiny looksee since this is all i have snapped so far of my project. leave me a comment telling me what your favorite pattern paper is..I'll pick a winner Friday morning. Also, if you’ve already registered, don’t worry, you can choose to either have your registration fee refunded or receive a free pass to give to a friend or family member. Class started Monday, but as with any good party it’s perfectly fine to arrive fashionably late. The class has no deadlines and everyone receives permanent access to all the class materials, so anyone can RSVP to the party at any time!

Sizzix Fresh Vintage Blog Hop

Welcome to Day 4 of the Fresh Vintage blog hop! I am super excited to be a part of this talented group of designers that will be bringing you inspiration each week . Every Tuesday and Thursday for the next 6 weeks, one of the 12 dies in the Fresh Vintage collection will be featured. 6-10 projects for every die will be posted by 75of the most creative designers in our industry.

To view the hop, you can click on the Fresh Vintage blinkie on the sidebar or right below. This will take you around to all of the designers on the hop.

I received the Sizzix Bigz Die - Flower Layers #9 to work with. This die is so cool. I love all the layering you can do with it and all that the die will cut chipboard, cardboard(which I used), cardstock, metal, pattern paper(used it), fabric, felt(i used again) and more!
Once I had an idea of what I wanted to create I got out my favorite Epiphany Crafts tools(Round 25 Shape Studio & Round 20 Button Studio) to add my customized embellishment and away i went to create these...
A cute little spider web barrette. Felt, lace, EC Round Shape Studio, and a cheap little spider ring. Layer it all up and adhere it to a little barrette. The girls love these.

A Friendly card. The middle is the EC Round Button 20 Shape Studio. Simple, bright, fun and Quick! Love me a quick card!

Pumpkin barrette. Another little barrette a little different from the one above. This one I looped ribbon around and then layered the Flower layers #9 on top and bottom of the loops. I added the cute pumpkin using the EC Round 25 Shape Studio.

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of the hop!~MK

FAQ about the Fresh Vintage Blog Hop:

How do I hop around to see ideas using the current featured die?

Every Tuesday and Thursday between September 27-November 3, 2011 there will be a new Sizzix Fresh Vintage die featured on 6-10 of the 75 participating designers' blogs. The navigation buttons for "Hop Back" and "Hop Forward" will allow you to easily hop around and see projects featuring whatever the current die is, since those buttons are programmed to navigate only to the blogs that are participating for that die. On the next Tuesday/Thursday, the buttons will automatically reprogram themselves to navigate to the blogs that are signed up for the next featured die.

What if I start at a designer's blog that isn't one of the 6-10 signed up for that die?

No problem! Simply hit either the "Hop Forward" or "Hop Back" button on the Fresh Vintage navigation widget from any blog's sidebar and you'll automatically advance to one of the participating blogs.
Can I go back and view the ideas for a previously featured die?

Of course! Go to the "Blog Hops" link at the top of the page. It will bring up all of the blog posts where you'll find direct links to each participating blog along with a thumbnail image of the project.
Where can I buy the Sizzix Fresh Vintage dies, by Eileen Hull?

You can visit Sizzix.com to find a local and online retailers for Sizzix products. Also be sure to visit Oh My Crafts, one of this blog hop's sponsors, (between the dates of September 27-November 3, 2011) and enter for a chance to win a Flower Layers #9 die!
The Blog Hop has ended and the navigation widget is no longer in the sidebar. How can I see the ideas?

Go to the "Blog Hops" link at the top of the page. It will bring up blog posts where you'll find direct links to each participating blog along with a thumbnail image of the project
