Friday 5 Mav Style

1. Mav's favorite sayings: comin soon dvd & blu ray, You fired(i get this one when he gets mad at me), I not take anymore, yes, peez, Mom, Redbox? Mom, you, me redbox. He also has a couple words that are for 18+ years but like I had to tell Teagan the other day "Hey they are words and I'm glad he has words" yes I know that is bad but seriously when you have a child with barely any words when he says it's "bullshit mom" to leave home to go 15-20minute drive to pick up sisters at school I tend to agree that indeed it is bullshit. I also have to add I have never got a note home saying Mav has used naughty words so it's all good. Dude it's life, it's too short, and there are so many other things I have to worry about. Yes, I'll take you bad mom awards.

2. Mav's clothing choices: Athletic pants-the kind with elastic or PJ pants, T-shirts, Nike shoes(we found the perfect ones in the womens section and he loves them. it's really hard to find shoes that fit correctly because his feet still aren't perfect even after reconstructive surgery.), hoodies, shorts.

3. Mav's movies: Cars, Thomas & Friends, Winnie the Pooh ( I found the Merry Pooh Year on EBAY woohoo), Bear in the Big Blue House, and anything new at the REDBOX. He knows that Redbox releases new DVD's on Tuesdays so that is all I hear about on Tuesday after he's off the bus. 

4. Mav's favorite peeps: Momma allow I have been on and of his shit list since I cut my long hair years ago, GMA oh this woman is Mav's favorite by far! Gpa he thinks he's pretty awesome, Baby(Avery), Teagan they've always been tight because of their close age but they also go in spurts where they can't stand each other, Daddy he's been all over Mr.K lately.  He also likes some high school boys that he goes up to at recess(in our town elementary-high school are on 1 campus. seriously small town.the girls go a town over but will be changing in the fall).

5. Mav's Favorite things to do: watch movies, jump on the trampoline, sit and get into all of the cool stuff in moms scrap room, drive his sisters batty, play with trains, being outside, riding the bus, taking pictures, eating french fries and drinking coke, playing on his ipad and snuggling with the pups.

5 for Friday: The Koeppen 5 Edition

Thought I would take the chance this Friday to do a 5 for Friday post about the 5 of us right now what's going on, how we're doing, etc.

Mr.K

He's always working hard. He is loving the new house and the new area we live in. Lots of projects getting done. He's a jack of all trades and boy does that come in handy! He's happy to have his Mustang out driving it this summer( I think he thinks it keeps him in his young stud state of mind :) ) he's a simple guy, loves will all his being, is an awesome daddy& hubs. His favs right now: Rum N Coke, Tortilla chips, Reebok shoes, Jockey Undies(reminds me need to buy some tonight), Big Bang Theory, this ginormous magazine for reading material Gpa gave him, rockNroll music(metallica still his fav), hanging out with the fam outside, tasty twist ice cream, Mt Dew.

Teagan
She is starting that preteen stage(OMG will I make it thru this?), will be in the 4th grade as of Tuesday morning at 8:45, Loves the color blue in all shades, has a thing for wolves still, decided she will be a wildlife biologist when she grows up, plans to attend MSU(hopefully we can afford it in 8 years), is into drawing big time, has a love/hate relationship with her sister, is always thinking, she's a worrier like her momma, she's nervous about school and if she'll make new friends(which sh will I'm positive!), is a bit of a tomboy at the moment, she still has her braces on hoping to get them off in the next few months. He favs: Reeses cereal, Dr. Pepper, her nook, hip/hop music, Big Bang Theory, the Hunger games movie, swimming, her cat Mittens, riding her dirt bike, tasty twist ice cream, spicy McBites from McD's.

Mav
He is doing great this summer, road 2 trains this summer (LOVED IT), off his meds now on herbals, loves his portable movie player, is getting big OMG big!, loves swimming(he's part fish), enjoys his alone time still, going to be riding the bus Tuesday morning (his decision love it), Is actually wanting to go back to school now, is still happy with comfy pants and a tshirt, not a fan of hot weather, has named out new car Speed, is growing out of that momma's boy stage(he'll always be a momma's boy its just a lil different now), gaining more words and putting more together(love this) making decisions, plays alot and interacting with others too. His favs: still hooked on fries, loves OJ, Thomas the Train has made a come back, loves living in the new house, the swimming pool,pizza, music with bass, trains, chips & juice, Gma & Gpa's house, Angry Beavers show.

Avery

Is a mini scrapbooker, loves the color purple, is always on an adventure, thinks music is super cool, reading and writing lots, is excited to head back to school, bummed she's not riding a bus, loves the new house, plays outside a ton, her hair is getting long finally!, has fun with Duke, argues with her sister(OMG GREY HAIR SPROUTING), gives Mr.K and I both a run for our money, is a total tough ass, loves with all her being, will be a 1st grader as of Tuesday morning at 9, is a momma's girl, still loves tattoos(she will be wearing one the first day of school), is very independent, is a duck like her daddy lets it all slide off instead of worrying about it, loves her Popsicle(like majorly 8-10 before day gets home). Favs: Green popsicles, the right side of the bed, Taylor Swift, driving her sis crazy, outdoors, tasty twist dirt sundaes, going to the movies, mp3 player, bubble gum, fruity pebbles, princess movies, ponytails,purple, stretchy pants, mismatched everything, cheeseburgers no pickle no onion.

Me

 Happy, designing for Cocoa Daisy & The Stringery, ready for the kids to go back to school, so happy with the move(love the area and this house), lovin the vintage treasures I've found this summer, driving a hybrid(love it too), trying to get over sickness, worried about the first week of school and how everyone will do, I've had a great summer filled with lots of fun stuff(move, CHA, pubs, adventures with the fam etc), have a new friend named Mr. Dank(pussycat), love it when Mr.K laughs at me(he's the bestest), celebrated OUR 11th wedding anniversary yesterday(had to believe we've been together a 3rd of my life.), still stressing over everything, trying to get myself in to a routine, spent so time with some wonderful friends, Have a few fun things happening in the upcoming months. Favs: Cherry Coke Zero & Ice tea, the kitchen, instagram, turkey wraps from Arbys, Call Me Maybe, my scraproom, 8.5x11, Vintage , Old Navy t shirts, Mr.K's smell, yellow Popsicle, tasty twist lemon cones, black, Victoria secret undies(thanks to Danee), chalkboards, myhouse, Pride & Prejudice .

5 for Friday: The small town girl who made it on HSN

Here are 5 of my projects that were on HSN during Epiphany Crafts presentation earlier this week.I have more to share but figured I'd show a few here and there instead of all at once.I still can't believe my work and chubby face was on TV. I get giddy every time I think about it.Miss A got all excited when she saw herself on TV she was jumping up and down on the couch.

5 for Friday: Lovin These 5 Tools Right Now

Epiphany Crafts Round 14 Shape Studio I reach for this one over and over again even when I'm not suppose to use it I reach for it and have to put it back. its a must have ! Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher I just jumped on this band wagon and not sure how I help out for so long but I love this thing! The new American Crafts Knock Out Punches. Love these! Easy to use! Great designs! Martha Stewart Ballpoint Glue Pen. This one comes in so handy for me as I create projects I only adhere parts down then I go back to adhere everything and you can't always get into the tiny spaces with the big ATG or other adhesives so this pen does the job and is super tacky!!
Singer Featherweight Plus sewing machine or Old Trusty as I call her. This is one of 3 machines I have and to be honest the only one I actually know how to use. I can move this one from counter to counter anywhere I'm working and I usually always reach for it when I create.

Friday 5 Randomness

Mav and I snuggled while Avery watched a movie.Thank goodness they both wanted to hang on the down low today since I wasn't feeling so good this morning.

Today marks a year since I had a complete hysterectomy. Still getting use to all the changes that happen when you don't have all your girly plumbing.

I got happy mail today from a fellow SCer. I can't wait to use the Nadiya stamps this weekend. Thanks Denise!

We had Chinese food for dinner and it tasted good after a blah day.

Happy that Mr.K's first week at his new job is going great and he is chipper this week.

FrIdAy FiVe

This week has been one of those stressful weeks should we?shouldn't we? what if ?kind things so here are the Friday 5 Not so stressful things that happened here this week.

1. Went to dinner with my Dad just me! It was nice to get out for a little bit plus dinner with my dad is full of conversation and admiration. Love him! Thanks for the yummy grub Daddy-O!


2. Mr.K celebrated his Birthday yesterday and I gave him this big ol balloon that made him smile like a little kid.
3. I sent out a layout to CK for the September issue which I'm so excited about! It required Mav, Avery, and I to make our first solo trip into public which went great!Thank goodness the post office rewards good kids that are patient and wait in line with their mommas with a dolphin stamp on your hand.
   
4. I had another one of these LOVE them not only do they taste and smell good um hello they are an awesome shade of green. Every time I slurp a milkshake this song comes to my head lol.

5. I got my Studio Calico box and then the mail lady dropped my package of SC Countryside and State Fair off that I ordered from YSS.

• thinking about.....next Tuesday when Mav has his next procedure will it be like the last time when he came out? Ugh i hope not. I'm nervous.

We have the windows open getting some fresh air to replace that recycled air we've been breathing for the last few weeks. I can hear these 3 playing outside too love it!

Happy thanks to Gma that we were able to score the Chicks tickets to Taylor Swift's concert in July they are going to be tickled. Waiting to tell them since they know the tickets sold out and think we didn't get any.is that mean? Nah I think they'll love the surprise I plan on printing them invitations like I did for Teagan last time. This will be Teagan's 3rd time seeing Taylor in concert and Miss A's 1st.

And these awesome goodies I got in the mail this week oh i have so many ideas floating around and wrote down on what I want to do with them.I think I might scrapbook this afternoon since my mojo is returning.Woohooo

I'm just happy that it's Friday! So what's making you happy today?

A #2 Pencil

A #2 Pencil and a dream can take you anywhere~ This layout was fun to create. it all came together first the quote then the photos and poof the layout. you better believe I have a #2 pencil in hand hoping it takes me here and there lol it's been a rough week at the house of K especially after Mav's procedure on Tuesday ugh so not looking forward to going back to the hospital in month for another one.Lets just say after this experience with Mav I think I am ready to go into a tiger ring cause he was one very disgruntled cat. my motto right now is KEEP CALM,STAY STRONG,&CARRY ON.

this one has been sitting around in my head and on the counter forever(almost 3weeks) then poof yesterday it was changed completely from the previous 8.5x11 to this and was done in like an hour. Love it.

This layout was created for Jen Jockisch's CHA CHA CHAllenge to scrap an Old School photo.Since I don't have many of me and this here photo of a wee Mr.K has been on my computer since his mom gave it to him a few years ago i hit print and now he's on the net. He kinda chuckled about that.

I have one more that is done but I wasn't able to take a picture of it tonight so i will post it tomorrow. I have a few more i hope to get done during nap time tomorrow too.

oh i have to share this too since my wee Mr.K layout is above. Last night my inlaws came over (this a rare thing) we had dinner, chatted, the card shark aka Miss Avery and Gma K played cards, and I scrapped. I had to ask when the photo of Mr.K was taken and when I did my FIL started asking Mr.K questions about my scrapbooking that led to him hollering down to me to come share so I did and get this my inlaws were happy and excited that I have my layouts in upcoming publications, I am on a DT, and that I have this awesome hobby that documents our lives. I was kinda shocked but think it's pretty cool I mean seriously I never would have thought my FIL would have ever asked or cared about my scrapbooking. To top it off I saw how proud Mr.K was of me, my scrapbooking, and what i have accomplished in the scrapping world. Makes a girl really feel good!
