Let's go StarGazing: Cocoa Daisy Sneaks

Here are a few sneaks of the layouts I created this month. I got all the kits this month except the documenting December. I was able to create 10 layouts but have decided that I don't like 2 of them so I deleted them from my gallery.

Join us tonight at 8pm EST for the full kit reveal. Cocoa Daisy.com

My Guy Mav: October Afternoon Layout

Last week I joined my friend Alex on the October Afternoon blog to create a layout based off this sketch she created.
Alex Gadji - October sketch
I knew the sketch would totally work for me because a simple grid design is a go to design for me.  I did add some layers to make it a little more me. The new Daily Flash All Boy line was perfect to use with this silly photo of my Mav. I love all those fun squares and colors from this line.

October Afternoon Sketch & Milk Money

Sharing my October Afternoon Thursday Sketch post from September 27th with y'all today.
When I'm assigned a sketch post I usually search through ads to find my inspiration. This time my inspiration was found on Pinterest with this really cool ad seen HERE

As you can see the sketch is made so you can put your pictures anywhere you'd like. You could use the large half circle like I did or maybe you want to have lots of photos on your layout it's totally up to you. Have fun with it!
When I first saw this ad I knew it would be perfect way to use the new Milk Money collection and those back to school photos.

I didn't know I was going to create a 2 pager when I first sat down but as I started moving product and photos around a single 12x12 or 8.5x11 just wouldn't work for me. I'm really happy with this fun 2 pager!

I had enough room to include all the kids on this layout and a layout like this could easily be duplicated for each child's album if needed. One thing I did notice is unfortunately the only shots of my Mav were blurs of him running to the bus or this shot that you can barely see him giving me the a-OK sign but it all worked out since the squares and rectangles are all different sizes. I also loved that big half circle for an enlarged photo that doubles as a pocket to add some tidbits from school.

Sweater Weather Revealed

Howdy! thanks for your patience I think I know have to blog somewhat normal. It's different looking but I think it's alright. Change is good right? I guess but it's a little hard for a creature of habit.
Today I am going to share my layouts I created for the October 2013 Sweater Weather kit by Cocoa Daisy. I worked with the main kit, add-on1, and the DITL kit this month. I have to admit I did find this kit a little challenging and pushing me out of my comfort zone but in the end it all worked out and sometimes we all need a little extra push.
This first layout was created with the Cocoa Daisy Exclusive papers designed by my fantabulous and talented friend Stephanie Wheeler.
The photos on this layout are from Teagan's Birthday this past week and the journaling on this layout includes some thoughts her dad and I on her big day.
This second layout is Teagan and Avery during Teagan's birthday photo shoot. It's crazy how much taller Teagan is than Avery and they are just 3.5yrs apart. I love this moment between them: holding hands, giggling, and dancing in the yard.

Last but not least a fun layout created around this super awesome photo Mandy Kay Starner captured of me and Steph Wheeler during the Cocoa Daisy Crew get together in September. SO much fun!

Hope these layouts have inspired you! Thanks for stopping by! MK
